Global Friends is partnering with Live Well this summer on a community garden for New American individuals and families.
We meet weekly to weed and tend to the plot.

New Americans (or volunteers interested in helping) can contact

HOUSEHOLD ITEMS NEEDED

You can help ensure that the apartments of newly arriving families are ready for them to move into by donating any of the following items.
​Items can be dropped off at our office during regular business hours. You can also call our office (701-746-8233) to ensure there are staff available.
All items should be new unless specified below.

• Dish soap
• Bathroom/kitchen cleaner (new & unopened)
• Hand soap (either liquid—new & unopened or bar soap)
• Dish rack
• Laundry detergent (new and unopened)
• Brillo pads or something to scrub pots/pans
• 13 gallon Kitchen waste basket
• Small waste basket for bathroom
• Shower curtain and hooks

• Small bathroom rug/bathroom mat for floor
• Entrance rug to wipe shoes/boots
• Toilet brush
• Broom and dustpan
• Mop
• Coffee pot
• Coffee filters
• Vacuum (used in good condition is OK)
• Microwave oven (used in good condition is OK)

UPDATE ON REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT

Global Friends has committed to resettling 40 individuals in FY2026. Most likely all of the individuals coming through resettlement programs across the United States at this time will be from South Africa.

Global Friends is again looking for community support for furniture and household items. If you have a piece of furniture in good condition, please reach out to us by either calling 701-746-8233 or by emailing [email protected]. Anything you can do to help deliver the furniture is greatly appreciated.
